Biography
I have been dancing since the age of 10. I was prepared to the Russian ballet school. When I was 18 years old I was fond of hip-hop, Latin dance. I worked as a dancer in Turkey, Spain. I started my pole dance carrier at the age of 22. From time to time I visit strip dance Master classes in Moscow. In 2007 I opened the 1st pole dance and pole fitness studio POLEDANCE in Moscow, Russia and nowadays I'm considered to be the founder of poledancing in RF (www.poledance.ru) and who entered the Poledancing and the Pole fitness conceptions in Moscow. I m invited to Pole dance Master classes as an instructor. I was educated by Pantera ( Miss Pole Dance World- 3d runner 2005, The best trick maker 2009) in Jamaica in 2008. I studied at Poledance Paris school in Paris, France.
Currently I m a choreographer and a leading performer at the Moscow club DIVAS. At the same time I make shows and have students all around Moscow. I have ballet, modern and jazz classes as well.
2009 - I took part in the World Pole Sport and Fitness Championship.
2009 - co-organizer the Russian Pole dance unity.
2009 - organized the Russian pole dance competition 09/10 (www.russianpoledance.com)
2010 - took part in showcases in Russia, Europe, Jamaica.
2010 - received the approved pole instructor accreditation.
2010 - organized and read the course The general pole dance and pole fitness teaching methodology for instructors.
Elena Shishkova successfully completed her three day comprehensive instructor training course on Thursday, March 4, 2010. Elena Shishkova is the first ever Accredited Pole Fitness Instructor in her country, having successfully completed her comprehensive three day International Pole Instructor course & assessments.
Whilst Elena is an experienced and competent instructor and a talented athlete already in her country, specialising in regular Master classes, group and 1-2-1 instruction she signed up on to the course to gain credibility and independently, approved fitness accreditation which is not yet available in her country. Due to visa restrictions unfortunately Elena was denied entry into to UK earlier this year for the popular courses already attended by other UK national and international fitness students. Therefore Kay made provisions for international students to attend in their recent pole week in Jamaica where master classes, pole and fitness lessons accompanied the course and offered all week.
Elena is currently representing Russia in The World Pole Sport & Fitness, Pole Dance championships in 2009 & 2010 on October 2010 in Zurich. www.worldpoledance.com
